British Science Week is organised by the British Science Association and offers an exciting programme of events.

A wide range of free resources is available to help you take part in British Science Week, including downloadable activity packs that can be used all year round, with the 2026 editions available now. You can explore inspiring planning materials and British Science Week resources, celebrate diversity in STEM through the Smashing Stereotypes campaign highlighting varied careers in science and engineering, and visit the Communities’ Hub for ideas tailored to community groups. The week provides a platform to inspire and support teachers, STEM professionals, science communicators and members of the public to create and participate in STEM-focused activities.

Anyone can organise an event, and the British Science Association supports organisers with free planning resources and guidance. From schools and community groups to parents and large organisations, all are encouraged to get involved — resulting in a vibrant and diverse programme of activities across the UK.
