Get Involved With Christmas Jumper Day

Christmas Jumper Day is an annual fundraising event in the UK and Ireland, organised by the charity Save the Children. On a designated day in December, participants are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper and make a suggested donation of £2 for school children to support Save the Children’s work.

In recent years, Save the Children has focused on making Christmas Jumper Day as sustainable as possible. Participants can wear a jumper they already own, shop for a vintage or second-hand jumper, decorate an existing jumper with festive embellishments, or even knit their own.

The event is especially popular with schools and workplaces, where groups often take part in additional fundraising activities alongside their donations.

Since its launch on Friday 14 December 2012, Christmas Jumper Day has raised over £30 million, helping children around the world.

When is Christmas Jumper Day 2025?

The official date is Thursday 11 December 2025 but schools and colleges are free to choose their own date.
