Planning to support Gas Safety Week at your school? Whether you're sharing key messages with pupils, staff, or families, the Gas Safety Week (GSW) Toolkit has everything you need to get started — and it's free to download below.

What’s in the Toolkit?

The toolkit includes a wide range of bilingual resources (available in English and Welsh) to help you raise awareness across your school community:

  • Posters and leaflets with simple safety tips;

  • Social media content with ready-made messages and images;

  • Informative factsheets for staff, parents, and carers;

  • Articles and newsletter content for school websites or bulletins;

  • GSW logos and stock images to bring your campaigns to life; and

  • A video and daily content schedule to help keep your messages on track throughout the week

This year’s theme is “Looking after your home, friends, and family”, reminding us all that gas safety is everyone’s responsibility — and schools play an important role in spreading the message.

How Your School Can Take Part:

  • Use the materials to run a themed assembly or class activity;

  • Share the posters and factsheets on your school noticeboards and parent emails;

  • Post on your school’s social media accounts using the ready-made content; and

  • Involve pupils in creating their own safety messages, posters, or videos.
